Knock…Knock…Postman :)

There were hardly any means of communication in the olden days , other than letters, Postman was one of the most important person to most of the families, they were treated as a part of the family…The postman used to read and write the letters for them, he used to know the in and out of each family and was very attached…Today, with so many developments and modern means of communication …the postman with a Khaki Uniform and cycle is lost somewhere …even when a postman passes by on his cycle, we don’t even bother to look at him…times have changed people seem to have forgotten the importance of a postman and post office, Today the Khaki Uniform guy does not knock, just deposits all letters in the letter box and moves on…

I had to go the post office yesterday, I’d the address but reaching there was a task, I was going round n round the same old building, however I couldn’t see a post office, finally a lady helped me, her directions were simple, I was shocked to see the post office, the ceilings were cracked, the walls were not painted, the wooden table n chairs were broken, the gate was rusted, the floor was muddy, it would have been not cleaned or dusted for years , the water tap was leaking, the people working there looked so frustrated…maybe cos’ of the surroundings….I honestly don’t know how much they are paid, But I would like to suggest the Govt. of India that they should think of renovating the post office, give new look to the postman and his cycle, when the govt. can sanction Royal Enfield to policemen, then the postman can at least get a fixed gear bicycle. And all this can be done only with the taxes that Sharukh khan and Sachin Tendulkar pay to the govt.:)

The post Office is the only place where many people can trust their savings and investments, Then Why isn’t it promoted. People should know more and more about the importance and security of this place, ‘m sure the great multinational banks will have a tough time if govt. thinks reforming this old medium of communication and savings

Knock…Knock (Govt. of India) we want the Post Masters and Post Office Back in Action.

Friends! What do you think about this, please comment if you have more suggestions or Ideas to share on this post / concept

New Concepts and Ideas for Reality Shows in India

Indians are very creative, but I still don’t understand why we are not using this creativity when it comes to Indian Television, We see so many reality shows in different channels, the most famous show is “BIG BOSS 4” with Dolly Bindra blowing the roof with her Full volume talks, Pamela just burnt the floor with Salman and more…, There is KBC with BIG BEE as a host, the most fantastic show of the year, Amitabh Sir Rocks’! He's my favourite... goosebumps:)

However, these concepts of the show are copied from different countries, like AMERICAN IDOL, BIG BROTHER, WWTBA Millionaire’ and more…I won’t have a debate on why concepts are copied or why it not original, but I would love to contribute my thoughts and suggestions (concepts for free ;))-

IDEA/CONCEPT I

SWAP-WRAP : Hehehehe… heard about swapping, evil minds work faster, here the concept is- you swap a day of your life with another person, he may be a celebrity, Politician, Actor, Journalist, Business Tycoon or maybe just a simple human being,
The person has to share his experience what all happened, the challenges, the luxury, , just everything…the one who overcomes all the challenges will be a winner, and that’s when you wrap up! ‘Trust if outlined, this concept will have a super boom on Indian Television, I bet that! Who doesn’t want to live a life of another if it’s a dream come true, and who doesn’t enjoy watching a celebrity who can’t mange to survive even one day- a life of a common man.

IDEA/CONCEPT II

4th SEAT SPECIAL:  Mumbai and trains connect each other, more than half of Mumbaites travel by train to reach their destinations, and you and I know what a task and challenge it is to get into a train specially the ladies compartment :), and to top up that you got to stand or fight for the fourth seat, even if the 3 commuters sitting can adjust they will never accommodate you…yeah! the concept lies here randomly the host of the show will go during peak hours & the three people who will accommodate a 4th seat will get 3 month pass free for commuting, isn’t it interesting, at least this concept will be a reason for people to share the seat and at least the greed to win unite us, what say people :)

There is more in my Idea Box… I wish Indian television comes across these concepts and give it a thought!

Being Creative

Creativity is a phenomenon where a person creates something new, something which has ‘value’.

I'm going to explode what may be a common business paradigm - creativity isn't only or limited up to Advertising / Writers/Entertainers. Creativity is for any department that wants better solutions to whatever they are working on. And getting better solutions to problems is very practical.

The problem is that so many people are worried about being impractical, of coming up with silly ideas, being ridiculed by co-workers or having an idea that won't work that they won't look at any idea that seems the least bit different.

I have to tell you this - if you want better solutions than others, then you need to loosen up. Remember the Movie “Harishchandrachi Factory “everyone thought that Harishchandra was behaving silly, some thought he was insane, but he was the first man who gave India the concept of Cinema. People who made fun of him realized how great a man he was, so being silly is worth!

If you want to be truly innovative and creative, you've got to be silly. If you are scared to be silly, assuming what other people might think about you, then you limit yourself to some specific or careful ideas, and such Ideas are not too great

Just let go, relax think out of the Box and be silly, and you’ll come up with ideas which may not be good or bad but might have practicality, and may revolutionize your thought and process. It may also be beneficial to your business and the way people look at it. To me, this is a perfect combination of vision, innovation, and perseverance.

Another best way to do this is to open the windows and let in some fresh ideas. Invite your colleagues for brainstorming sessions. Listen with "open" ears to what these outsiders have to say. After all, if Harishchandra discussed his important thought with his wife (he said it was as much his wife's contribution as his), then surely we can do this in our own organizations.

Finally, put your great ideas into practice, and implement your innovation. Being creative might have lot of challenges but might just pay you a compliment or give birth to a Great Creative Idea!

Cadbury's new thought: 'Shubh Aarambh'

Cadbury's new thought “Shubh Aarambh” the campaign is based on the concept of the Indian tradition of having something sweet before every auspicious occasion, with the belief that it leads to a favorable outcome. What a superb commercial! Kudos’ to the concept!!

It is yet another cut on long-running, and immensely successful 'Kuch meetha ho jaaye' thought for Cadbury’s dairy milk. Every ad. Flick is phenomenal, some are entertaining, some are sentimental and touching, every piece connects you in real, the brand caters to every audience, every age, the brand simply means, there is no age bar to have a Cadbury Diary milk or any other Cadbury chocolate any day of your life, I always loved this brand, anyways I’m not writing a review on the Cadbury commercial, I truly wish this brand works wonders year after year …

Every one out of 3 people in India are Diabetic, and they too love this Ad. And specially for such people this is a mouth-watering commercial, they are the ones who can’t enjoy the taste of sweetness, I have a friend named Gautam, He loves chocolates’, but he is highly diabetic, I feel bad for him, November 14 was the World Diabetes Day, People from different states had various campaigns”Beat Diabetes”, where the motto was to stay fit and healthy, but what about people who are already attacked by the silent killer???? (Diabetes)

I always felt that the chocolate brands should think about such people, the brand should take a step forward to help such people by coming up with a diet chocolate which is healthy and sugar free, still melodious, creamy and delicious. I bet this will work wonders for every chocolate brand, what an idea if Cadbury India gives a thought and comes up with something that will touch millions of heart as each one can enjoy a sweet treat with their loved ones…

Hey Gautam, I hope the brand is listening to us…and we’ll soon be able to say “Kuch meeta ho jaye” :)
